About Mahakatha Radio
Mahakatha Radio is a mantra radio station. It plays sacred mantras from the Mahakatha library, all day and all night, for anyone who wants to listen. There are no ads and no subscriptions.
What you hear
Mantras for Ganesha, Shiva, Devi, Krishna, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Hanuman and many more, each with a line on what it is traditionally chanted for. The music changes with the time of day, and everyone listening hears the same moment, like any radio.
Prayer Requests
Listeners can offer a prayer for someone they love: for healing, in memory of someone, or for a special day. We shape the words gently into a short prayer in plain English and read it aloud on air during Prayer Requests, followed by a mantra chosen for them.
